I still have the original bar too and both bars will be included in the sale. The tremolo bar retainer threads had been worn out when I bought it, so I had the retainer re-threaded professionally at my local guitar store and it works fine now, it just requires a slightly larger bar than the original if you want to use the whammy. I believe the body is basswood, but I'm not sure about that. The frets are in very good condition, with a little wear on the lower frets. I've got my eye on another guitar, so this one has to go! I also think that the Japanese made Yngwie models were more sought after than the American made guitars for a while because I heard that they were closer to the original Yngwie guitar. It's a fantastic player with a scalloped maple fretboard. From what I understand, this is from the first or second year that the Malmsteen Strat was produced. This guitar was built at the Fuji-gen Plant (for Fender Japan), Japan. Please let me know if you have any questions about the guitar or if you'd like to see any other specific pictures. Original hardshell case is included in the sale. I have tried to be as thorough as possible at documenting the entire guitar. I am selling this 1989-1990 Yngwie Malmsteen Signature Fender Stratocaster in very good condition on Ebay.
